Leonard Nimoy's Gunsmoke episode

There I was last night, doing housework, when a friend called at 10 minutes to 8 and said that if I got the Starz western channel I should turn it on to see Leonard Nimoy as an Indian in an episode of Gunsmoke.

Much to surprise, my cable company had that channel, so I tuned in. No Nimoy. I figured I'd missed him, but I stuck it out the whole 10 minutes and there he was! Covered with brown face makeup, raising Spock-like eyebrows and intoning cliched "Indian" phrases.

I think this is the first time I’ve seen Nimoy stand next to someone who made him look short.

I also think this is the first time I've seen Gunsmoke, but I may have deleted the memory from my brain.

I missed this scene, but found it on Youtube:

why Nimoy is so sexy even with all that make up he is handsome
He is always handsome and sexy... :-) I like your icon.
Bill would have looked hilarious next to someone so tall!

(And where did the coins come from after all?)
Boy yes; the other character (don't know his name) has to be a good head taller then Bill. At least.

I don't know where the coins came from as I didn't see any more of the episode than this clip and the final ten minutes. But it looks like, from another post, that the whole thing is online, so I may watch more of it to catch his scenes.
Too funny! He looked adorable and I love his mimic - I'm just not sure about the braids though...
And then, while watching, part of me expected James to come run through the doors to credit him evry second now :)

Thnx for posting thise scene - I hadn't seen it yet!!
Yeah, the braids - meh. Part of the "Indian" cliche in TV shows and movies of the time.
Did you watch full episode? I find it is facinating.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNp6atvPxj0&feature=related

Thanks for the link - I'll check it out. :-)
Yeah, I saw that episode too--my brother alerted me. I thought he was very "Kwai Chang Caine"-like in that character.
