Fandom Meme (Escapade aside)

I’m back from the slash convention Escapade and had a great time. I’ll try to do a report later this week. In the meantime, I figured I’d do this Fandom Meme:

First TV show I had self-insertion fantasies about:
--Star Trek TOS, very Mary Sue. Fortunately, I never wrote it.

First fandom in which I interacted (through postal mail and in person) with other fans:
--Star Trek TOS.

Pairing in the first slash fanfiction I read:
--Kirk/Spock

First RPS/RPF I read:
--RPF: Do historical novels count?
--RPS--Paul Michael Glaser/David Soul. This was around 1985. It was so seriously underground at the time that the woman who wrote it would only allow me to read it in her living room and hand it right back to her as soon as I was done. (It was also the last RPS I’ve ever read; I’m more interested in reading about characters I see onscreen and rarely follow actor news).

First fanfiction I read that made me think, 'YES, this is exactly the kind of fanfiction I'd like to write...':
--Not fic but the movie Star Trek: The Motion Picture. I wrote a short sequel almost immediately after it was released.

Pairing in the first fanfiction I wrote:
--I wrote genfic before I wrote ship or slash, but I think the first pairing I wrote, in a poem, not a story, was Spock/Zarabeth.

First OTP:
--Kirk/Spock.

First RPS/F OTP:
--None.

First fannish friend I met in person:
--Jean P.

First character I formally roleplayed:
--An OC in a vampire roleplaying game. This was some time in the mid 80s.

I know it's wrong, but I want to read that now!

(Hope you had the best time at the con)
I am so very grateful that story never left my head. :-D

I had a great time at the con, thanks!
